LCN Kicks-off with a Professional Mixer in the Nation’s Capital
By Joseph Sadek
LCN VP of Public Relations
On September 1, 2011, the newly-elected board of the Lebanese Collegiate Network kicked off the year in one of our favorite east coast city, Washington, D.C. In partnership with National Arab-American Professionals-D.C. (NAAP-DC) LCN co-hosted an eventful night at Eden DC. Thanks to Marwan Charrouf and Synergy’s Jad Bouchebel, attendees enjoyed drink specials and hors d’oeuvres from Eden and Café Asia.
Over 80 LCN and NAAP-DC members attended along with some familiar LCN faces: alumni and co-founders, Julien Chemali and Ramzi Nasr. Later in the evening President of NAAP-DC, Samer Korkor, Outreach chair, Laila Mokhiber and Vice President of Public Relations, Joe Sadek, thanked everyone for attending the event and gave out raffle prizes. We would like to thank everyone who participated in our first LCN mixer of the year. Events like these are hosted to help pull our community organizations together, get our membership to get closer to one another, and more importantly, strengthen the LCN family across the nation. LCN hopes to host more events and reconnect with the broader Lebanese/Arab community in DC in the future.
