From NorCal to SoCal LCN Outreaches to Students and Professionals
Saturday, March 1st

On March 1st, 2008, The Lebanese Collegiate Network was present at two events in California. The first took place in San Francisco where Serge Haddad attended the Annual Lebanese American Association (LAA) dinner. The LAA graciously offered the LCN free advertising in their dinner booklet as well as a complimentary dinner ticket. S. Haddad met both with professionals and students from the Bay Area and increased the community's awareness of LCN's mission in helping the students through various programs. The LCN wants to thank the LAA for their support.

The second event took place in Los Angeles where Patrick Sislian, Karim Khoury and Sevag Sislian attended the 4th Annual Lebanese Social Club (LSC) Culture Show at UCLA. The LCN passed out information and helped students sign up directly on their website by having a booth. Furthermore, Patrick Sislian, LCN President and co-founder of the LSC, gave a brief speech on the importance of involvement in the Lebanese-American community and ways to achieve this both through the LSC and LCN. The event had approximately 300 students and professionals in attendance from all over Southern California including the following subscribing LCN ULCs: CalPoly Pomona, UCLA, USC, UCI, and UCSB.

The LCN is looking forward to seeing everyone at the 2008 LCN Annual Convention in Washington D.C.!
