LCN 2010 Awards Ceremony Dinner
As an end to the LCN 2010 Annual Convention, the LCN Awards Dinner Ceremony recognized the individuals that have helped LCN throughout the year and honored the recipients of the Academic Excellence & Heritage Award and the Most Outstanding ULC Award.
Over 20 individuals were recognized for their efforts in hosting LCN events and workshops such as the fundraiser dinners, the CIA info-sessions, resume workshops and the convention workshops in addition to those who work behind the scenes such as the website committee members and the audit committee.
We can not be thankful enough for all these individuals who make LCN a success year after year.

Academic Excellence & Heritage Award Winner: Lamis Jomaa, Penn State University
The LCN Academic Excellence and Heritage Award distinguishes a student who excels academically and is a leader among their peers. The winning applicant is rewarded with a $1500 monetary award. This year’s recipient of the Academic Excellence Award is Lamis Jomaa of Pennsylvania State University. An award selection committee judge stated that Lamis “is on a beautiful, successful path in life. The example she [Lamis] has set so far should serve as great motivation to all Lebanese students around the globe”.

The LCN Supporter of the Year Award recognizes those individuals who have made a positive impact on the LCN membership and its activities. Each year, the LCN Board will select a person to be recognized for their dedication to LCN. This recipient may be a subscribing or general member (not a current LCN Board member) and they may be nominated by any LCN Board member. Awards will be at the discretion of the LCN Executive Board. This year, the LCN Board, selected two candidates to receive this award for their exemplary effort and time towards the success of the LCN. Dr. Marwan Charrouf and Mr. Ferris Wehbe have both given so much to the growth of this organization and the LCN is proud to honor them

Now an official tradition, the LCN will passon the original LCN Constitution to the most recent Past President during each annual convention. From these pages grew effective programs and great opportunities. These documents laid the foundation to allow passionate and energized leaders to develop a vision that was once a dream. We look forward to the next ceremonial hand-off during LCN'11 at Oakland University in Michigan.
